Retirement Announcement for Dr. André Lévesque
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced on Friday October 16th, 2020 that Dr. André Lévesque will be retiring as of November 2020. Below is a message provided by Dr. Primal Silva of the CFIA:
"Dr. André Lévesque will be retiring this November following a remarkable career as a research scientist and science executive in the public service. The CFIA was extremely fortunate to recruit this highly accomplished scientist from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 2017. We will undoubtedly miss André’s leadership and commitment to advancing the new Centre for Plant Health in Sidney and his scientific contributions to the Agency’s plant-science agenda. André is well known within the science community for his dedication, passion for science, interest in the latest techniques and technologies and his strong sense of public service.
Please join us in celebrating this significant achievement with him and wishing him the best in the next phase of his life by contributing to a retirement book that we are preparing for him. If you would like to share a message, memory or photos, please contact Cheryl Dollard by October 30, 2020.
We also invite you to share this announcement with anyone interested or that we have missed.
Our warmest wishes go to André for a long and happy retirement filled with family, music, cycling, good food and well deserved rest!"
